Getting Healthier


I have been working on my get fit goal pretty seriously.  When I first got my scale I was about 219-220 lbs, now I am about 211-212 lbs. Most of this dramatic fall started when I got my Wii. I got a Wii on April 25th and my parents brought their Wii fit on the 30th.  I have been trying to work out for at least a half an hour a day.  I have had some fails, but I am still motivated.  I want to get to 180 lb because then I will be classified as overweight instead of obese if the information my doctor gave me a few years back is still accurate.  My ultimate goal is to drop even more than that, but I am keeping it simple for now.

  1. My grandma and I were going to go swimming this summer but lack of money and extreme exhaustion from our health problems kinda nipped that in the butt. Guess if I am dizzy standing, swimming might not be wise.

    It might be a good idea to break out DDR. WiiFit sounds amazing but is a little out of our budget. Are you enjoying the games it has or is it more of a chore?

  2. I am sorry to hear about the pool plans falling through.

    The wii fit is fun, I just have lost my schedule to do it. The summer came and it got so hot so early and by the end of the day I am exhausted, so it doesn't happen any more. Although I am walking longer distances because I take the L home instead of the E. The L either drops off at 8th street or the Nugget. Not much, but a good start in the 90 degree weather.

  3. I wouldn't want to do wii in the hot weather either. Especially without the ac on. Back when I was at Kali the last thing I wanted to do was workout or do any extra activity. I would just drop from exhaustion.
